Lavandula...and Romantic Homes!

So on Friday afternoon, I decided to visit a few thrift & rummage shops in my first attempt to go junking in our new location {since the move}. I scored this cute French Pitcher replica at the Goodwill for $1.99 {amongst other fun finds}. It has a water tight tin interior, with a lovely vintage design on the exterior.

When I took this home, I knew exactly what I was going to put in here. Last June, I ordered an item from Maria at Dreamy Whites, and along with my package she sent me two complimentary lavender gifts. One was a lavender-filled french ticking pillow, and the other was this lavandula bundle. ;) Doesn't she have the most cutest packaging & presentation?

I've always loved the scent of lavender, it is divine & oh so calming.

So I thought I'd pair these two.

I bet you can almost smell the lovely scent... ;)

Now on a random tangent, I came home that same Friday evening to find that my September issue of Romantic Homes had arrived in the mail. I have to tell you that this is my favorite subscription, and this coming from a magazine junkie! ;) So I thought I'd share a few pics from this issue.

Lately I've been having "kitchen renovation" on the brain, but since that's not gonna happen anytime soon, these pics will just have to satisfy my fancy...for now, that is. ;)

So if you haven't already, don't forget to pick up a copy of the latest issue of Romantic Homes.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend so far!

XO's,
Jessie

That pitcher is an awesome find! It is amazing what you can find at Goodwill. My favorites these days are old glass pitchers/containers. They hold all the baby clutter taking over my house and make it look pretty.

The lavender pitcher is amazing especially with the dried lavender inside! I know of some blogers who'd just adore this! I believe we have a couple of blogging friends featured this month! Romantic Homes is a terrific inspiration!
