Summer Thyme Lemonade

When I step into my backyard, I'm fortunate enough to have this view everyday

You see, our lovely neighbors have various citrus trees growing in their backyard, and part of their lemon tree (and tons of lemons) hang over onto our property. So of course I asked if we could snip some for use, since most of their lemons end up falling onto the ground.

So what do you do, when you have a bowl full of lemons...

And some leftover organic thyme lying around...

Well you make some lemonade...Summer Thyme Lemonade, that is...

Using a recipe from Martha Stewart, I juiced some lemons

added some water

and a little bit {or a lot of} sugar...

to make some Summer Thyme Lemonade!

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer so far!

XOXO's,
Jessie

You are lucky! I use at least 4 lemons a day ... I would love to pick them off the tree.

I've never put thyme in mine before - definately will try it tonight though! :)

Have a great weekend ~

Okay, that looks incredibly refreshing even on a rainy day like today. I'm trying to imagine the flavor that the thyme gives the lemon. I've had my eye on a mini potted Meyer Lemon Tree from Williams-Sonoma. Can't grow them outside in this frigid New York climate. Gorgeous.

I love fresh homemade lemonade. You are so lucky to have an abundance of them because it runs expensive when you make a big batches and have to buy the lemons. YOurs are fresh too! mmmm...great pics.
I'll have to check Martha's recipe.
