Happy Friday everyone! I still can't believe it's now the month of September! Summer sure did fly by quite quickly, at least for me. Today is the start of a much needed 3-day weekend, so I decided to go to a local Farmer's Market to pick up a bouquet of late summer blooms. Today I'd like to share these little beauties, plus a few other "pretty little vintage things" in my home.
Here I placed my colorful bouquet inside an old French jar.
I really love the peeling label on this one.
I don't think I can ever get enough of flowers in my home, I'm sure most of you ladies can relate. ;)
I recently acquired into my possession, an old french letter dated March 1904. I wish I could understand the letter in its entirety, as I know some french...but barely! Maybe one of you out there can tell me?
This is the front of the letter.
This is the back of it. I had to be careful not to handle it too much, as it's a little delicate in its current state. In the background is a 1940's French alarm clock, atop an old book dated in 1918.
Well, that is all I have to share for today. This weekend I will catch up on visiting all of your lovely blogs. ;) I really hope everyone has most splendid & SAFE Labor Day Weekend!
XO's,
Jessie

I love the pretty jar you have your flowers in, Jessie! I would use this over a typical vase and am always looking for unique bottles and jars. I love the letter, too...don't know any French but it would look beautiful framed!
XO,
Janie

Wishing you a beautiful 3 day weekend.

That French jar is so pretty. And I just love old letters. I wish I could read French, but no such luck. The girls are trying to learn French...such a beautiful language. Those flowers made me smile.
