Design Shuffle Guest Post: Decorating with Vintage Fabrics

Happy Monday everyone! Today, we have a special guest post from Joanna over at Design Shuffle. I know you will enjoy her article on "Decorating with Vintage Fabrics." So without further ado, I will let Joanna take over from here!

*********************************************************************

Thanks to A Cozy Cottage in the City for letting me share with you today. I'm Joanna, a writer for Design Shuffle, a premier online portal for interior designers to share their work and for design enthusiasts to gather decorating ideas. I spend my days collecting images of interior designs and sharing them with blog readers like you. I hope you enjoy my post on vintage fabrics today. Vintage fabrics can be used in any room to give a nostalgic touch to the space. Whether it is large floral prints or simple small checks, vintage fabrics are fun and stylish. Take a look at some of the vintage fabrics we found and see if they don't inspire some decorating ideas of your own.

Vintage Fabrics

A large vintage style print is made into a wall hanging in this bright and cheerful hallway. Other touches of vintage are found on the pouf and pillow below the table.

Vintage Fabrics

A plethora of vintage pillows in a collection of fun prints can be found on this settee. The vintage style rug is a nice touch.

Vintage Fabrics

A vintage quilt can be seen hanging from the foot of the bed, which compliments the more modern floral print on the chair in the foreground.

Vintage Fabrics

In this bedroom design, a comfy bed is layered with vintage quilts and pillows. Can you imagine enjoying an afternoon nap in the relaxing space?

Vintage Fabrics

A vintage Chinoiserie print on a wing back fits nicely with this vintage style living room.

Vintage Fabrics

A fun porch swing sports pillows in red vintage prints and textures. A lazy Sunday afternoon would be so enjoyable spent on this porch.

Vintage Fabrics

A vintage tablecloth looks lovely on an antique table. A print like this would look charming in all kitchen designs! The white sheers at the window give a nice touch of whimsy to the room.

By far our favorite room, this antique room with its luxurious vintage linens is gorgeous. It is so romantic and simply filled with interior design ideas!

On another note, I would like to thank everyone who responded to my last post in regards to whether or not I should repaint our open floor living space. Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. Your opinions and thoughts really made a difference on my final decision. I promise to share that with you all when our current project draws to a near. :)
