A Sort of Fairytale Giveaway...and fixer upper progress, well kinda!

On another note, I'd like to add that I'm excited to state that some of the things on our "to-do" list is finally getting checked off {slowly, but surely}! We had loads of trash that was just sitting in our backyard from the renovating & move-in process like boxes, wood, parts of the house that were removed, random stuff that the previous owner had left, etc. - and today, we finally shelled out the couple of hundred dollars {ugh} to get it professionally hauled away! Now I can finally look out into our backyard because it is NO LONGER an eyesore (woohoo)! Previously, I'd keep my bedroom drapes closed because looking at it was starting to really stress me out. But now that it's nice & neat, I'm now a happy camper. :) Additionally, we bought some efficient new tools to aide us in our DIY renovations. They were a little pricey, but we needed to invest in some good quality items to help us out on these ongoing projects! Tomorrow there is going to be a lot of sanding, painting, caulking, measuring, cutting, etc. I'll try to update when I find the time. Did I tell you that the hubby and I are going to build a new wall?!?! More on that later! lol Oh, there was a dead tree in our front yard that needed to be removed STAT because it was starting to become a fire hazard...so after asking repeatedly to get it removed, the hubby finally bought some tools to take it down! Let's just say that it is halfway done {yippeee}! I wanted to take pictures, but unfortunately I still haven't found my camera. :( I'm beginning to think that I may have to invest in buying a new one, so we shall see...

Anyway, today is the start of a lovely new weekend with SOOOO much work to be had. But I'm hoping that I can make a trip to the local Farmer's Market early on Saturday morning to buy some fresh seasonal produce! Maybe also squeeze in some time to go antiquing?!?! I've passed by a bunch of cool little antique and thrift shops in the area since we moved, and have been wanting to check them out. Hopefully I'll get a chance to visit & post about it on here.
